Students who are non-EU and Swiss are eligible for study-to-work-visa after completing the degree from the Hungarian university. The limit for stay is up to 9 months after graduation and is not extensible. Students are required to submit the application15 days before the student residence permit expires. 

Students who want to get PR in Hungary have 2 types of permanent residency options i.e:

  • National permanent settlement permit
  • EC permanent residence permit

Working rights on student visa

International students are allowed to work part-time up to 24 hours per week. For full-time work, students can work 66 hours after completion of the term or term break. 

Visa conditions

Students can stay up to 90 days on a student visa in the country. After this students have the option to extend the visa by getting the visa extension with a resilience permit. 

Intakes

There are 2 intakes in Hungary which are the primary intake and secondary intake. The Primary intake is the fall intake which starts in September. The secondary intake is the spring intake which starts in February.
