Visa processing time

Students can get their study visas in 60 days for Denmark. Students must start their application on time to avoid any last-minute trouble. According to the new rules the application can be made 6 months prior to arrival.

Pre-departure training sessions 

Stay back option and work permit in Denmark

Students in Denmark get an additional 6 months job-seeking permit which allows them to stay for 6 months. Students who want to stay more than this can apply for a registration certificate under EU rules. 

  • Students can apply for work permits and residence permits to stay longer.
  • Students need an establishment card after completing the degree in Bachelors, Masters, or Ph.D. program to seek employment.

Working rights on student visa

International students are allowed to work in Denmark for not more than 20 hours per week in the months of September to May. In the months of June to August, students are allowed to work 37 hours a week. 

Visa conditions

International students have both short-stay visas and long-stay visas. The short stay visa has a duration of 3 months and for a long stay, more than 3 months is given. Students are required to have a residence permit for a long stay visa. 

Intakes

There are 2 intakes for admission in Denmark which are the summer intake and winter intake.

After receiving the offer letter from the university and paying the tuition fee you have to submit the file to the VFS. You will be required to clear the embassy interview to get your student visa. 

Yes there are various universities that offer courses in the English language where you can easily apply and prove your English proficiency through exams. 

Yes, you can get PR in Denmark if you apply correctly with a clear background. In order to get PR in Denmark, you need to stay in the country for 5 years legally and earn approx 25000 Euros per year.
